# HOLOPLOT OS 2.4.0

We're excited to announce **HOLOPLOT OS 2.4.0**. This release delivers a significantly enhanced metering and tuning experience in **HOLOPLOT Control**, support for **Plan 2.4** projects, and streamlined firmware updates for all device types.

### What's New

#### Enhanced Metering

A comprehensive upgrade to signal-level metering gives you better visibility into your system:

* **Silent Driver Indicator**: The metering excludes silent drivers from the total count, and the UI shows the number of silent drivers
* **Muted System Visibility**: See pre-limiter levels even when the system is muted
* **Improved Limiter Display**: Better visualization of limiter activity and behavior

#### Advanced Tuning Tools

New tuning capabilities make system configuration faster and more powerful:

* **Bulk Actions**: Apply changes to multiple beams or items at once
* **Beam Properties Panel**: New dedicated panel for viewing and editing beam properties
* **Summed EQ Display**: Visualize the combined effect of multiple EQ curves
* **Cross-Environment Changes**: Propagate tuning changes across different acoustic environments
* **Safer Value Entry**: Input fields now enforce valid ranges to prevent configuration errors

* Full compatibility with Plan 2.4 project files
* Improved project validation with clearer error messages

#### Terminology Updates

We've updated terminology throughout the system for clarity and industry alignment:

* "Beam Groups" are now called **Preset Layers**
* PTP timing terminology now follows **SMPTE guidelines**
* Alert levels renamed to **Warning** in the Events view

#### HOLOPLOT CONTROL

* **Redesigned Pairing View**: Rebuilt for a cleaner, more intuitive experience
* **Better Time Sync Reporting**: Improved visibility into NTP synchronization status for modules and controllers
* **AudioBridge Interface**: View PTP leader information and easily copy IP addresses

#### Processor & AudioBridge

* Optimized metering performance for systems with many beam instances
* Input metering now focuses on actively routed audio inputs
