The focus is on reducing manual effort in complex system designs, giving engineers more precise control over alignment and tuning, and making the overall design process faster and more transparent. *** ### What's New **Auto Gain & Delay Alignment** Plan 2.5 introduces automated alignment of beam gains and delays within a layer, reducing the manual work required to tune complex systems. New capabilities include: * Automatically align gains and delays across beams in a layer * Option to include or exclude EQs from the alignment process * Option to lock delays and align gains only * Assign specific Target Zones to individual beams to control what each beam aligns against, with automatic fallback to covered zones when none is assigned This significantly speeds up the alignment workflow for large and complex projects, while preserving engineer control over what gets adjusted. *** **Spatial Fills Function Group Type** Plan 2.5 introduces a dedicated Spatial Fills Function Group type, alongside the ability to edit EQ directly at the Function Group level. New capabilities include: * A dedicated Spatial Fills Function Group type with dedicated gain alignment behaviour * Edit EQ directly at the Function Group level, without needing to work beam by beam These additions make it faster to configure and fine-tune complex system architectures. *** **Streamlined Beam Config & Tuning Panel** The Beam Config and Tuning panels have been combined into a single unified panel with a new toolbar. This improves: * Workflow efficiency by reducing panel switching * Clarity with column sorting now available in the Tuning Panel * Overall consistency of the beam configuration experience *** **Layer Downmix Panel Improvements** The Layer Downmix Panel has been substantially upgraded with new controls and a clearer value breakdown. New capabilities include: * Mute and Solo controls directly in the Layer Downmix Panel * Open EQ context action from the panel * Value breakdown view showing Total, Manual, and Alignment contributions * Reset Delta and Reset Alignment actions, with persisted split-button selection These changes give engineers more visibility into how downmix values are composed and faster access to corrective actions. *** **Routing & Downmix Matrix Redesign** The Routing/Downmix matrix has been transposed so that audio inputs are displayed as rows and beams as columns, with grouping support.
