HOLOPLOT Plan 2.4.1

HOLOPLOT Plan 2.4.1

New in HOLOPLOT Plan 2.4.1 🚀

This maintenance release builds on Plan 2.4 with enhanced control over 3D Differential Beamforming for S21 arrays, improved system feedback in Simulation, and important performance and stability fixes. The focus is on increasing reliability, clarity, and workflow efficiency in complex system designs.

What’s new and improved?

Acoustic Neighbourhood Control (S21)

Plan 2.4.1 introduces advanced control over the Acoustic Neighbourhood used for 3D Differential Beamforming with S21 arrays.

New capabilities include:

  • Include or exclude neighbouring modules in the Acoustic Neighbourhood

  • Greater precision in defining LF beamforming behaviour

  • More transparent optimisation control for complex array configurations

This gives system designers finer control over low-frequency performance and optimisation results.

Acoustic Neighbourhood Validation Warning

Simulation now actively warns when an invalid Acoustic Neighbourhood is selected.

This helps to:

  • Prevent unintended simulation results

  • Highlight optimisation inconsistencies early

  • Improve confidence in beam calculations

If beams become invalid due to neighbourhood changes, they should be re-optimised to ensure accurate results.

Function Group Workflow Improvement

Beams can now be added directly to Function Groups from the Library.

This streamlines:

  • System organisation

  • Beam assignment workflows

  • Large project management

Mute / Solo Behaviour

Mute and Solo behaviour has been improved to be:

  • More consistent

  • Easier to interpret

  • Clearer in complex system states

This enhances usability during system design and troubleshooting.

Stability & Performance Fixes

Plan 2.4.1 also delivers important fixes and performance improvements:

  • Downmix connections are now preserved when copying or duplicating a layer

  • Reduced excessive CPU usage when muting Function Groups or Layers

  • Viewport no longer displays a pink colour on application startup

  • Lower GPU usage when the application is idle

  • Additional minor fixes and stability improvements

Known issues

  • If a user changes a module type after an array is created, this change will not be reflected in the viewport immediately. As a temporary workaround, please hover over the array to see the change.
